I’ve shot over 15 weddings (and counting) so I have seen it all, from tracking down missing rings to overly hungry brides. Hopefully, these wedding tips will help ensure that you won’t have to become a bridezilla and enjoy your big day!
We caught up with Sytiria, one of our wedding vendors, we wanted to get to know more about Sytiria and her wedding planning business. One of our favorite weddings we worked together was Yamile & Omar’s Wedding. She had planned their wedding in 28 days! We couldn’t tell, everything was on schedule and the decorations was flawless!
First off, Tell us about the time you planned your first wedding?
I have been planning for over 11 years. I have always had a passion for planning and putting together unique events..this started with planning my children's Birthday parties. After attending my parties other parents would ask me to plan their children's party...and the idea of event planning started from there.
Why did you choose to continue to plan weddings?
I choose to continue to plan weddings because I love to see a beautiful couple's wedding dreams come true! There is nothing more fulfilling than to see everything come together and your clients are in love with their wedding!
How long have you been in business? Are you a black owned business? If so, how does it feel to be a black owned business?
I have been in business for 5 1/2 years. I am a black owned business. It feels amazing to be a part of such an amazing group of black business owners in the wedding/hospitality industry. I am honored to be among some of the greatest!
Where is your business located?
My business is based out of Douglasville, Ga
Do you have any future plans for your business?
I plan and design for the couples that are looking for a unique personalized wedding or event. My slogan is creating style and distinction for every occasion and that literally says it all.
Can you describe the type of clients you design for?
All of my weddings or events have a special meaning to me. There are favorite parts to all of then but I definitely have some that standout. The Stallworth wedding was amazing, there were a lot of components to it including 3 venues, a lot of unique personalized touches and just an overall great party! I also did several weddings that blended different cultures that were amazing!
Do you have a favorite wedding you planned or a favorite memory from a wedding?
Last year I planned a wedding in 28 days and it was fabulous! To pull off a beautiful wedding in such a short time will be etched in my memory forever!
Wedding and event planning has afforded me the opportunity to meet and work with some amazing couples! I will forever be grateful for them allowing CBE to be a part of their special day!

Janice & Chuck Maternity Photos
Janice and Chuck was our first wedding when we found Love In Motion, that was 3 years ago. So when I received a text from Janice asking me if we remember them. I replied, “Of course I do!!”
Janice told me the news of her and Maxwell expecting their first child together and wanted me to capture her maternity photos, I was ecstatic.
With Janice being due any second now we decided just to do the maternity session in her home! We first shot outside with her husband and two boys. Luckily there was a blooming tree of flowers and a lake to set our pictures up with a colorful and beautiful background.
Once we were done shooting outside (before the sun decided to come out from hiding) we headed inside to do some shots in the nursery. Janice told me that 80% of her decor and furniture was from Letgo, Amazon, Facebook Marketplace and DIY projects! I couldn't believe it, I told her she did an amazing job pulling it all together!
Last shot a fun shot of course! The boys were really feeling these last set of photos!
Before I packed up Chuck said, “Hey you have to get a picture of me with my diaper bag.” I said you have a Diaper bag? He pulled out an “Army diaper bag” The cutest thing I have ever seen!
A couple of days after the shoot, Janice sent me this text to express how she was happy with the session!
Gabby & Sheldon: Maternity Photos
We met Gabby and Sheldon back in 2017. We captured their wedding day at the Ventanas in Atlanta, Georgia.
Recently, The Hughes celebrated their 1st anniversary! Gabby messaged us and wanted to take some maternity pictures before their bundle of Joy arrives. We couldn't say no! She sent over some inspirational pictures.
We Were on the mission to find the perfect Location! An outside shoot in December? Challenge accepted. After park after park, We finally found the perfect location, located off of Ponce De Leon. Once Gabby found her dress all was left to do was shoot!
We set a Date, December 23rd. Everything was going perfectly until it rained on Saturday. No worries we rescheduled to Sunday, and we were able to bring Gabby Maternity shoot to life!!
Gabby came through with her dress, we came through with the location and the pictures!
Before we left Sheldon wanted some solo pictures. His suit was sharp, so we said why not! You can use these for your LinkedIn profile pictures!
